Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 (February 27, 2010) Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming town located on the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. The people who aren't familiar with this term often think that there is a separate island west of Montreal However, in reality it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to all things from Lachine west to the city of Lachine west. The West Island is frequently referred to as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time in the city was brief. Brugel lived in Courtice located just outside of Oshawa. The first goal she had was to become an actress, but after a sudden growth spurt her partners weren't able to dance along with her. She was awarded an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to attend York University's Theatre Program which she completed in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. The career of Brugel spans more than 20 years and she's appeared in 60 different productions including big screen productions as well as smaller screens. Her most notable role was the one of Rita (pictured below) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character the character of Rita on The Handmaid's tale, a series that was produced over the course of ten years.
